Overview

Nepali citizens must apply for an Australian Visitor Visa (subclass 600) online through the Department of Home Affairs ImmiAccount portal. There is no paper application or separate eVisa — all applications are lodged online. The visa fee is approximately AUD 190–200 per applicant. A critical requirement unique to Australian visa applications is the Genuine Temporary Entrant (GTE) statement — a written declaration convincingly explaining why you will return to Nepal after your visit. Processing takes 20–33 days for most applications.
