Overview

Germany is part of the Schengen Area. Nepali citizens require a Schengen C-type short-stay visa (up to 90 days within 180 days). Applications are submitted in person at the German Embassy in Kathmandu. The visa fee is EUR 90. The critical challenge for Nepali applicants is the appointment waiting time — currently 10 to 12 months at the German Embassy Kathmandu. Applicants must register on the waiting list immediately and plan far ahead.
