Overview
Nepali citizens must apply for a C-3 Short-Term Visit Visa at the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Kathmandu. There is no eVisa or visa-on-arrival option for Nepali passport holders. A unique requirement for Nepali applicants is a mandatory Tuberculosis (TB) test from one of four designated hospitals in Nepal. The application process requires a personal appointment at the embassy. Appointment slots open only on Mondays and Wednesdays and fill up quickly, so advance planning is essential.
Required Documents
Prepare all documents before your appointment or submission.
Valid Passport
MRP (Machine Readable Passport), minimum 6 months validity, at least 2 blank pages.
Visa Application Form
Completed and signed visa application form (available from embassy or online).
Passport-Size Photos
2 recent photos, neutral expression, ears visible, no glasses.
TB Test Result
MANDATORY — must be from one of the 4 designated hospitals only: Patan Hospital, Civil Service Hospital, Korea-Nepal Friendship Hospital (Thimi), or Sukraraj Tropical & Infectious Disease Hospital (Teku).
Cover Letter
Letter explaining purpose of visit, planned itinerary, and activities.
Bank Statement
Last 3–6 months, stamped and sealed by bank, showing sufficient funds.
PAN Card Copy
Copy of Nepali PAN (Permanent Account Number) card.
Employment/School Certificate
Letter from employer or school confirming position/enrollment and approved leave.
Confirmed Round-Trip Flight
Departure date must be at least 21 days after application date — invalid tickets may result in rejection and a 3-year application ban.
Hotel/Accommodation Booking
Confirmed hotel reservations or host address proof for full stay.
