Overview

Nepali citizens can visit Sri Lanka by obtaining an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) online before departure. The ETA is applied through the official government portal eta.gov.lk and typically processed within 24–72 hours. It allows a double-entry stay of up to 30 days per visit, valid for 6 months from issue. The ETA must now be obtained before travel — on-arrival applications are no longer available. Sri Lanka is an accessible and affordable regional destination for Nepali travelers.
