Overview

Nepali citizens can apply for a Malaysian eVisa online through the official Immigration Department of Malaysia (IMI) portal. The single-entry eVisa allows stays of up to 30 days and is valid for 3 months from the date of issue. The entire process is done online — no embassy visit required. You must also complete the Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC) at least 3 days before arrival.

Required Documents

Prepare all documents before your appointment or submission.

Valid Passport

Must be valid for at least 6 months beyond travel dates with at least 3 blank pages.

Passport-Size Photo

35x45mm, plain white or light background, clear face visible. Digital upload in JPEG format.

Bank Statement

3-month bank statement showing a minimum closing balance of NPR 400,000.

Nepal Citizenship Certificate or National ID

Scanned copy of Nepali citizenship certificate or national identity card.

Confirmed Return Flight

Flight booking with PNR number showing entry and return from Malaysia.

Hotel Booking

Confirmed hotel booking for the full duration of stay.

Employment Letter

Letter from employer confirming position, salary, and approved leave. Students should provide enrollment letter.

Register an Account

Create an account on the portal with your email and personal details.
