Overview

Nepali citizens cannot enter Thailand visa-free or on arrival — a Tourist Visa (Type TR) must be obtained before travel. Since 2023, Thailand has moved to an eVisa system for Nepali applicants processed through the official thaievisa.go.th portal or VFS Global Kathmandu. A single-entry tourist visa allows stays of up to 60 days. From 1 May 2025, all foreign nationals must also complete the free Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) online within 3 days before arrival.
