Overview
Nepali citizens can visit Turkey for tourism but the process depends on whether you hold an existing visa from a qualifying country. If you hold a valid visa from the USA, UK, Ireland, or any Schengen country, you can apply for Turkey's convenient online eVisa (evisa.gov.tr) — processed within hours for ~USD 50. If you do NOT hold such a visa, you must apply for a traditional sticker visa at the Turkish Embassy in Kathmandu. Turkey is a popular tourist destination, and the eVisa route is significantly faster and easier for those who qualify.
Required Documents
Prepare all documents before your appointment or submission.
Valid Passport
Minimum 6 months validity beyond arrival date, at least 2 blank pages.
Valid US/UK/Schengen Visa or Residence Permit
REQUIRED for eVisa — must be unexpired. Not needed if applying for embassy sticker visa.
Credit/Debit Card
Visa or Mastercard for online payment (eVisa only).
Return Flight Booking
Confirmed round-trip ticket (may be checked at border).
Hotel/Accommodation Booking
Confirmed accommodation for the stay.
Bank Statement

Check Eligibility for eVisa
If you hold a valid (unexpired) visa from USA, UK, Ireland, or a Schengen country, you qualify for the eVisa. Go to evisa.gov.tr to apply.
Apply for eVisa (if eligible)
Visit evisa.gov.tr, enter your passport and visa details, pay ~USD 50 online. The eVisa is typically approved within a few hours.
Apply at Turkish Embassy (if no qualifying visa)
Visit the Turkish Embassy in Kathmandu (Maharajgunj). Submit your passport, photos, bank statement, travel documents, and pay the visa fee. Processing takes 5–1...
